About the Author
Dr. Abdolsalam Peyrovan, “Hazrat-e Mowlana Majdeddin Hossein,” is a Sufi Master, writer, poet and artist. Born in Iran in 1938, he was, from a young age, exposed to an enriching lifestyle through art, music and poetry. Dr. Peyrovan’s overarching pursuit, however, was utter devotion to his spiritual path and revered Master. After intensive study, he received his divine calling to teach and guide others to find inner Truth.
In 1984, Dr. Peyrovan immigrated to the United States with his family and settled in California. He established classes both in the Bay Area and Southern California, where he teaches to this day. His representation of the Beauty that spans the inner realms take on many different forms including poetry, painting, calligraphy, music, sculpture, and mirror mosaic (Persian Āina-kāri). A collection of his ever-expanding body of work has been on display at his private gallery in Orange County since 1997.
Dr. Peyrovan has published several books. Click here for more info. He is currently working on a new poetry collection, as well as an artbook containing paintings that depict the hidden treasures along the divine landscape residing at the heart’s core. His audio collection includes numerous albums of original music, singing and reciting.
Dr. Peyrovan’s sole intention in presenting his work is to serve as a beacon of light to illuminate the path of true freedom, and to give hope to people around the world.
The harmony that arises from realizing one’s divine treasures leads to peaceful coexistence, where human relations are defined – solely – through Love. The title of one of Dr. Peyrovan’s books, Bashir-e-Del, translates as “Illuminator of the Heart.” The lifelong scope of his work has been just this, the actualization – in various media – of the world within.
